(I)MAGINATION – Blogging from A to Z

I had two words in mind for today’s “I” word. Infectious and imagination.
I went with imagination.
You’re welcome.Imagination, when used for the forces of good and not evil can produce some spectacular works.
For example, Michaelangelo’s paintings in the Sistine Chapel.
This is imagination and giftedness, at its most exquisite.
Walt Disney is another example of an amazing imagination. Not on the grand, spiritual scale as that of Michaelangelo but he has certainly lifted his fair share of spirits and undoubtedly lit the fire of imagination in countless little minds everywhere. His is an imagination that will continue on for generations to come.
I’ve been here. Have you?
Fast forward to J.K. Rowling and much like Walt Disney, her imagination will also continue on.
Imagination, when used for the forces of stupidity evil tends to churn out things like this…
Sadly, and frighteningly so, these too may continue on.
Oh, quit yer squawkin’. – You all know I could’ve posted something soooooo much more disturbing here.
Remember, I didn’t choose the word infectious..
I could have..
Behave or tomorrow will be an eye bleach day.
Imagination in the wrong hands yields this, and apparently reaps a shit ton of money thanks to a shit ton of stupidity!
is considered art and a “vivid imagination.”
Are you fucking kidding me right now? Seriously????
“A blackboard covered in white scribbles by the American abstract artist Cy Twombly has fetched a record $70.5 million (£47 million) at auction at Sotheby’s last night.”
Not a clue who this guy is. I don’t care, and I sure as hell would not have spent $70.5 million dollars on this crap! Hell, I wouldn’t have spent 7 cents!
You can read the hows, whys and what in THE hell – here.
However, if you find it difficult to muster up some good ‘ol imagination, for the forces of good or evil, you can always pop over to Pinterest for a never-ending supply of someone’s imagination…
So happy I saw this cuz’ when I first saw that lit’l button bowl I thought it would be perfect for my sewing table. Yeah.. Not so much anymore.
Ugh. These cakes..
They’re pretty n’ all but seriously, does anybody eat that fondant shit? I always peel it off.
And this… This pretty much sums up most things in life…
However, close enough doesn’t get you into heaven.
But a screaming baby covered in smudged lipstick kisses could make you think you were in hell.
Happy Monday folks. It’s gonna’ be another beautiful, near 80 day here in Boise so you can find me outside. Sorry “Beastly Bear” but if it makes you feel any better we’ve got a cold front heading our way in a couple of days. Highs around 56. Guess I’ll haul out the winter gear again…

Be well! Let your imaginations run wild, and for those of you who are participating, happy A to Z’ing!

One can only imagine what lovely sights would have been here, had you chosen “infectious”.😀

We visited Vatican City in 1990. The Sistine Chapel and everything else was incredible to see in person! I’ve never been to Disneyland but enjoy some of their movies. Not a Harry Potter fan, but that sure is an enduring franchise. LMAO at “Bridget Midget”. On the other hand, why not? Little people get horny, too. With you on the chalkboard “art”. WTF? How do we get in on that racket?

Thanks for today’s amusements. Have a good week!

You have no idea how close I came to the infectious post but we’re still early in so I don’t want to have too many “eye bleach” moments. – The Sistine Chapel is on my list of “to do” for sure. I can only imagine how incredible it is in person. – And yeah, can you believe that chalk board thing??? Still boggles the mind.

I made one of those button bowls. It’s a pain in the ass, lemme tell ya. It didn’t look near as good as the one in the pic b/c I lost patience with the buttons sliding all over the balloon before they set up. It was a lot of hurry up and wait. Glad to see Harry Potter included in your list! And I have been to Disneyland, once after college! And Disney World twice as a kid. I’m just gonna blow past the midget porn though….. lol

I wondered about that Joanne. I thought I wonder if you used quick drying glue if that would make a difference. This would be a several day project for me and then I’d have to coat the entire thing in polyurethane just to be on the safe side. – Hahahahaha. I knew you’d bypass the lit’l Miss Bridget. Hahahaha.

Okay, I’ll behave, but I know that it will be bleach your eyes out at some point. You can’t help yourself. It’s okay though because you’re way funny.

I’ve never been to Disneyland. I’ve never wanted to go. I hate long lines with a million people all trying to do the same thing at the same time.

Have a eye bleach free day. ☺

Hahahaha. Of course it will be CP. How can it not, we’re only to “I.” Hahahahaha. What I know for sure about Disneyland is that it’s really not for kids. Kids can’t take the heat, the long lines, the rides, the giant characters that scare the shit out of them or the food+the rides. Teens and adults. That’s who Disney is for.

There are many things in life that I am grateful for and one of them is that you DID NOT go with infectious.

Gonna get my 2 year nephew to scribble a little something on the old chalkboard and watch as fame and riches rain down upon me.
Some people have too much money and not enough sense.

The shit I saw when I googled ‘foot’for the Edgar Allen Poe post, almost made me pass out. I don’t even want to imagine what you saw during your research. Eww!

70.5 million! If I’ve got a pound left over by the end of the week, I consider myself rich. But if I had 70.5, I certainly wouldn’t spend it on a scribble. What if the maid came in and decided to clean the board!

Hahaha, you make me laugh – so glad you didn’t go with infectious though I’ve no doubt it would have been funny. I can’t believe the Cy Twombly ‘art’ – crazy what people will pay for. I have a collection of pictures of failed craft projects like your little button bowl – some things are just too hard.

Hey listen – I will do scribbles for quite a few million less if anyone is interested. Seriously, I am a Gooood scribbler. Anyone want to buy my last grocery list for £3000,000? (Or dollars – not fussed which.)

Oh Tamuria… The Google images that flashed before me under “infectious” were revolting. I could’ve posted ’em but my readers would have vomited for daaaayyyyyyyys! There’s some nasty crap out there. And isn’t that wild?? Chalk scribbles. C.H.A.L.K. scribbles!!!!!!! Wtf are people thinking??? This guy’s last name is Twombly not Van Gogh! Geez Louise…

I would have loved to have seen the Sistine Chapel, sigh. Disneyland – lived close a couple of times, never went. Haven’t read or seen any of Harry Potter – I have enough addictions, thank you. All such wonderful use of imagination.

Now, the porn – not sure any real imagination is used in them – get drunk, make a movie, and have a lot of meaningless sex. That would sell as well … As for button bowls and sloppy cakes – Nah. Now, what idiot would want to kiss babies with lipstick on? Any idiot with zero imagination would know that the clean-up would not have any fun in it.

Have been to the Sistine Chapel. Exquisite indeed.

Disney yes brilliant and an institution. But not a fan of the theme park.. did it once at a young teen and never have to do it again. I’m disgusted how much they charge families to visit there and then the lines. Couldn’t pay me to go again and never took my children it was so expensive we couldn’t afford to do it 25 yrs ago.
My husband’s colleague just flew his young family to Florida from Finland for a holiday. I almost fell over when I heard what they spent for just ONE day in Disney with small kids who will never remember going. Light money on fire, save yourself the jetlag and the lines for the rides.

Not into Harry Potter but tips hat to JK a generation of kids reading books and she keeps it going.
Midget porn… you know I laughed. Little folks like to fuck too.
Pinterest fails make me laugh but sometimes I think they don’t even put in any effort. No one really eats fondant. Well maybe they do, I don’t.

Sorry your weather isn’t holding out. But good weather will come eventually. Same with here all I know is that it ISN’T winter any more and that’s good enough for me. The urge to stab people has subsided for now.
Longest comment ever, lots of shit to cover! xx

  10. Angel Stew & Devil's Brew says:

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Well I’m happy that the urge to stab people has subsided! It never subsides in me no matter what the weather. My stabbing urges are reliant upon the idiot standing in front of me and his/her level of stupidity. – And thank you for the longest comment ever. I love your comments because they ALWAYS – not sometimes, not maybe – ALWAYS make me smile and/or laugh out loud!

RANDOM but this made me think of it because ”Infectious’ I couldn’t do, I’m so glad you didn’t go the way of infectious! You know what’s disturbing me lately… what the fuck is going on with all the ”zit popping’ videos going viral? Now I ain’t saying I don’t pick because oh yes I do… but these things keep popping (hahaa) up on news sites. Oh and removal of chunks of earwax. I refuse to look. Just can’t. Have you seen this shit? Just me?

I was seriously too repulsed from the “infectious” photos to do that post, and those zit popping videos fall into that same category Tracie. Eeeww and earwax??? I haven’t seen those. My bro in law had his ears candled and he showed me the shit that came out – YEEEEAAAAARRRRS – of sawdust build up. I almost threw up on his shoes. So disgusting.

Karen, thank you for going with “imagination” and not “infectious” b/c infectious images would not have been pleasant ha ha!! Love your examples of Michelangelo, J.K. Rowling, and Walt Disney, such visionaries with awesome imaginations. I’ve been to Disneyland, it was ages ago, I really enjoyed it. Agree about how imagination can produce stupidity too (OMG, $70.5 million for that piece of shit art!!) and gotta agree about that screaming baby in smudged lipstick kisses. Freaky!
